Ladies and gentlemen of the verse! This is Networker coming at you live from the holonet news network, here with some breakings news! Amerish has fallen under attack. Now I know every single one of you are shaking your collective heads saying "That didn't take long." Well yeah, it didn't, but it's a lot worse than just another raider attack.
Meet Screwflip, the meanest son-of-a-glitch this side of the verse. And I mean that literally- he and his cult are Glitch. And yes, you heard me right, cult. Screwflip's got his own cult, how he did it nobody knows considering the man has all the charisma of a new-born Floran but there ya go. He's been hitting trade caravans and merchants' vessels for as long as anyone in the sector can remember. Not only does he have countless tin-headed cultists following him and ready to die for him he's no pushover himself either. The man who managed to take this picture? Yeah- he's currently a collection of stardust floating somewhere in that area of space.
Now any other colony'd put a bounty on him and be done with it, but it gets better- Arryn Skiryata, the very woman who leads this colony is seeing to it that the Federation goes after him personally. In fact- she had this to say about the whole debacle.
We don't lie down and let other people fight our battles for us. We also don't let criminals get away with killing our people and destroying our property, that isn't us. What we do to people like that is simple- we hunt them down, we break their operation and we hold them up to the galactic spotlight as we break them in half. And we're going to prove that we're not just another helpless colony on the edge of known space waiting to be burned to the ground like so many others. We're going to prove to the galaxy that The Federation is more than just a colony- it's an idea. You can't kill ideas, but they most certainly can kill you.
Whoo, if I still had organics I think I'd be in love. We'll be watching this situation closely and we'll update you as soon as we get more information. Now back to your regularily scheduled programming!
